In partnership with Central Saanich Police our school will be conducting a planned lockdown drill May 5th at roughly 9:00 am as part of our regular safety procedures. The drill will be approached using a trauma informed model that prioritizes both physical safety and emotional well being. Students will be informed in advance that the drill is practice only, staff will use calm and age appropriate language, and there will be no surprise elements or simulations. 

Lockdown drills help ensure that students and staff are familiar with procedures if they are ever needed, while maintaining a safe, calm, and supportive learning environment. Families are encouraged to check in with their child afterward, and the school is always available to provide additional support if needed.
