Welcome Back Bayside Families

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are thrilled to welcome all students—both new and returning—to Bayside for the 2025–2026 school year! As we prepare for another exciting year of learning and growth, we’re especially looking forward to deepening our focus on literacy, mental health, and student attendance. These priorities will help us support every learner in reaching their full potential, both academically and personally.

School Start-Up – Tuesday, September 2, 2025 | 8:30–10:00 AM

  • Students will meet at the front of the school.
  • Student names will be posted with their division numbers at the following locations:
  • Grade 6: Posted near the SHARK
  • Grades 7 & 8: Posted on the wall and boards near the gym
  • Students will then move to the field where homeroom teachers will display division numbers.
  • Students will join their teacher, attendance will be taken, and they will head into the school.
  • Bayside staff will be outside to greet students and help them find their way.

Please note:

  • We ask that parents/guardians drop off students no more than 15 minutes early.
  • We are unable to meet with families on the first day. If you need to speak with school staff, please email us at bayside@saanichschools.ca to book an appointment.
  • Bus service will be available. Please check the Saanich Schools website for routes and times, and ensure your child is registered.
  • Please do not send school supplies on the first day.

Full School Days Begin:

  • Wednesday, September 3 | 8:30 AM – 2:33 PM

Structure of the School Day:

  • Elective classes (including band, if registered) and physical education will begin on Friday, September 5.
