Info for Students…

• Happy February Bayside! February is a month filled with kindness. There is Valentine’s Day, Random Acts of Kindness Week and Pink Shirt Day. For the Month of February we will share a kindness quote every day. There will be a Random Acts of Kindness Bingo Challenge mid February and a Pink Shirt Day Bake Sale on the 22nd. Today’s Kindness quote is: “Kind hearts are the gardens, kind thoughts are the roots, kind words are the blossoms. Kind deeds are the fruits.” Have a fantastic 1st of February everyone!
• Bayside Rock-Paper-Scissors Tournament: A reminder that there will be a school-wide Rock-Paper-Scissors today in the gym during lunch recess. All staff and students are welcome to compete, and there will be a great prize for the first place winner!! All those who would like to watch, or compete, please head to the gym right after indoor eating time. The gym will be open for student use after the tournament ends! 
• Talent Show: Talent Show tryouts today at lunch in the Drama room. Check the schedule for your time.
• Grade 8 Girls Volleyball:  Good luck to both Grade 8 girls competitive volleyball teams in their matches today at Arbutus and Lansdowne.  Go get em Sharks.
• Grade 7 Girls Volleyball: Congrats to the grade 7 girls volleyball for winning both their games against Central and Lansdowne. Consistent serves and 3 touches made them great competitors. Well done! Thank you to Evan and Theo for doing the scorekeeping yesterday.
• Grade 7 Boys Volleyball: A reminder that we have practice tomorrow during lunch recess, please meet Mr. Davidson and Mr. Baerg in the gym right after indoor eating time. This is a mandatory practice so make sure you are there! 
• Bayside Volleyball Showcase Tournament: The quest to play the Bayside staff begins this Friday!! During Friday’s lunch recess we will see the grade 6/7 boys team play the grade 7 girls competitive team. The winner will advance and face the Grade 8 girls team A in the next round. The tournament schedule is posted in the window of the PE office, check it out!!

• PAC Meeting: The next PAC meeting will be Wednesday February 1 at 6:00pm. Attention grade 8 families, this meeting's highlight will be the GRADE 8 Farewell. We are in need of volunteers, planning and discussions! If you have kids in Grade 8 or know parents of kids in Grade 8, please join the meeting!
