Info for Students…

• Pink Shirt Competition: A HUGE shout out goes to all the Bayside artists who submitted their lovely art for this year’s Pink Shirt Day competition. Bayside’s got talent!

Pink Shirt Day is on Wednesday, Feb. 22. Starting on Monday, Feb. 13, pink shirts can be purchased in the Gallery at recess for $15 cash or cheque payable to SD 63. Which artist’s design will be on this year’s shirt? Come to the Gallery to find out!

• Grade 8 Girls Rec Volleyball: A BIG Congrats to the Grade 8 Girls REC Volleyball Team for winning 3 of 4 sets yesterday at the jamboree. It was great to see you win against Cedar Hill Middle School and tie against Cathedral Christian School. You made some great plays and comebacks too. WAY TO GO, GIRLS!!!!  Also, congratulations to the Bayside Grade 8 A girls team for winning 3 out of 4 sets versus Royal Oak and St Michaels.  Special thank you to Theo, Quinton and Nolan for doing the scorekeeping.  
• Grade 7 Boys Volleyball: A reminder that we have a practice today during lunch recess, please meet in the gym right after indoor eating time. This is a mandatory practice so make sure you are there! 
• Grade 6/7 Boys Volleyball: Game today after school at Gordon Head Middle School. Practice tomorrow 7:15 am before school.
• Bayside Volleyball Tournament: A reminder that tomorrow during lunch recess we will see an epic volleyball contest between the grade 7 boys and the grade 8 girls team B. Check the tournament schedule in the gym to see who plays who in upcoming rounds! 
• Dodgeball Tournament: Well done to all the winning classes from yesterday! Please check the official Bayside instagram to see Monday’s scheduled games. As well, be sure to check the updated tournament brackets in the PE office window. The tournament will continue on Monday, so make sure your whole class is there! See Mr. Davidson if you have any questions.
• Found: We have had a necklace with a ring and a black earbud turned into the office.  Please come to claim if the item is yours.
• Lacrosse stick use: A reminder to all students, that balls are not to be thrown against the walls of the school during class time, at recess, as well as in the morning before school. This creates noise that disrupts classes and teachers preparing for the day. Thank you for your understanding!
