Info for Students…

  • Book Fair: Today is the last day of The Russell Books Fair. Each class will have a scheduled time to come and buy books and trinkets. Cash, debit, and credit cards are accepted. The fair will also be open after school until 4pm.
  • Early Dismissal and Parent/Teacher Conferences: Today is early dismissal, students will be dismissed at 1:33pm. Busses will run at the earlier schedule.
  • Grade 7 Boys Competitive Basketball: Good luck to the Grade 7 boys team in their first game of the season today after school at Monterey Middle school at 3:45pm.   Also, the Grade 8 boys team played a strong Arbutus team yesterday but battled hard the entire game and can be proud of their effort. 
  • Grade 6/7 Boys Recreational Basketball:  Reminder of your practice tomorrow at lunch at 12:45 in the gym. Also, no practice next Tuesday morning at 7:15.
  • Grade 6/7 Girls Basketball: Practice is cancelled today due to the limbo competition in the gym at lunch. But there is an important meeting today at recess.
  • Chess Club: Chess Club is cancelled today at lunch.
  • Pokemon Club: If you love Pokemon and are interested in playing or trading cards, battling, or learning how to draw your favourite mons, remember to bring your cards for Friday at lunch in W115.
  • Limbo Competition: Attention all sharks, today is the day for the big limbo competition. Please head down to the gym right after indoor eating time…get ready to LIMBOOOOO. Remember spectators are encouraged, come cheer on your friends!!! And as always….GO SHARKS! 
  • Halloween Howl: On Monday, October 31st get ready for the Halloween Howl. Come with your costume to the Multipurpose room during recess to get your photo taken for the yearbook. There will be a costume contest in the big gym at lunch. Then we will have a school dance, gym games, karaoke, and a halloween movie in block 4. Bring a non-perishable food item to get into the dance. Once you pick an activity, you must stay at that location. There will be food and light-up pins to buy at the Shark Shack. Show your Halloween spirit this coming Monday Bayside!
  • Halloween Dance Dj’s: Thanks to the tireless work of Ms. Lee, Ms. Stewart, Ms. Graves, and our principal Mrs. Dennet, Bayside has been able to secure two internationally famous Dj’s for Monday’s dance. Both of these Dj’s come from the West Pod School of Musical Excellence and will be flying into Victoria on Monday from various international locations to rock the Halloween Howl. Remember your non-perishable food item to get into the dance, you do not want to miss the show! Go Sharks Go!

Information for Parents…

  • Student Photos: Student photos have been sent home. Retakes are scheduled for Nov 8 if your child was absent or would like a retake photo.
  • PAC Meeting: The next PAC meeting is Wednesday, Nov 2 at 6:00pm in the Learning Commons.  Everyone welcome to join! Click here for the Teams meeting link.
