Info for Students…

  • Paper Recycling: Div. 8-6 requests that all teachers have their paper recycling bin placed outside their room by the end of Block 1 so that our class can collect them and empty them for you.  Thank you, Merci, HISKWE!
  • Grade 8 Boys Basketball: Well done to the Grade 8 boys team for a strong effort yesterday versus Gordon Head. Thank you to Maria-Victoria, Lucca and Sal for scorekeeping.  The boys season is now over but look for them in the Staff vs student game.  Please return your jersey to Mr Chen this week.
  • Grade 7/8 Girls Basketball: Well done to the Grade 7/8 girls team for a strong win yesterday against Glanford.  The team will now prepare for the playoffs which start tomorrow.  Great work in the regular season and good luck in the playoffs. 
  • Grade 6/7 Boys Rec Basketball: Reminder of your jamboree on Thursday after school. Team 1 plays at Bayside. Team 2 plays at North Saanich Middle School.
  • Grade 6/7 Girls Basketball: Practice is cancelled today.
  • Gym Access: The gym will be open at lunch today for people who want to play sports inside.
  • Japanese Club: The Japanese Club is meeting today at 1pm in the LC. Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary.
  • Canada World Cup Spirit Day: Attention all Sharks! Remember to wear red and white tomorrow to show your support for Canada’s men's soccer team. Canada plays their first game of the tournament tomorrow versus Belgium, you can come down to the MPR at the start of indoor eating to watch the game, and eat lunch with your friends. Just make sure you get teacher permission first! If you don’t have red and white, wear something that says Canada..or just your favorite soccer jersey!! Any questions please see Mr. Davidson..see you there Sharks! 
  • Upcoming Dodgeball Tournament: Attention all dodgeball playing Sharks! Hopefully you have started gathering your team for our upcoming winter dodgeball tournament. Sign up will take place in the gallery during lunch this Thursday and Friday. You need to provide a team name, and a list of all 10 players on your team. Please see Mr. Davidson if you have any questions, and don’t forget to sign-up!!!
  • Bartering Fair: HEY! HEY! HEY! BAYSIDE!!! The Bartering Fair is happening on Wednesday, Nov 30th in blocks 1 and 2. What is the Bartering Fair? Shopping without cash!  You get to  trade your items for other items that you want. What you need to do: Bring to school up to 10 new or gently used items from home that you don’t want.  Don’t forget to ask your guardians BEFORE you take the items to school for the BARTERING FAIR on WEDNESDAY, Nov 30.
  • Leadership: There will be a leadership meeting in the Home Ec room tomorrow at recess.
