Info for Students…

  • Paper Recycling: Div. 8-6 requests that all teachers have their paper recycling bin placed outside their room by the end of Block 1 so that our class can collect them and empty them for you.  Thank you, Merci, HISKWE!
  • Dodgeball: Well folks, we know you have heard of the World Cup, but get ready for an even grander, iconic, and exhilarating competition. The Bayside Winter Dodgeball tournament starts today. Our first match of the tournament will take place between the Avocados and the Five Amigos…we will then play as many games as possible over the course of lunch recess. Fans, players, and respected staff members please head down to the gym right after indoor eating time and get ready to dodge, dip, dive, duck, and dodge your way to victory!
  • Grade 6/7 Girls Basketball: Practice is today.
  • Grade 7/8 Girls Basketball: The grade 7/ 8 girls team battled hard in their semi final yesterday but came up short versus a powerful Gordon Head team.  They will now play in the 3rd place game tomorrow.  Reminder of your final practice today after school.
  • Japanese Club: The Japanese Club is meeting today at 1pm in the LC. Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary.
  • GSA: GSA Club today in the Art room at lunch recess.  Today we will be rock painting!  Everyone welcome!
  • Santa’s Anonymous: It is that time of year where we get to support kids in Victoria this Christmas. Please bring in money and give it to your homeroom teacher to donate for Santas Anonymous between November 28 to December 5th. Every $40 raised will buy a child a gift this Holiday season. Check out the gallery to see how many gifts we have raised this year. Our goal is $4,000. Let’s help create Christmas memories by buying 100 kids presents this year and share some Christmas love. Thanks, Bayside!
  • Volleyball: Any grade 7 girls interested in playing competitive volleyball this year, please meet in Ms. Stewart’s room East 111 at recess for a brief meeting. Tryouts will be next week Tuesday at lunch and Thursday after school.
