Info for Students…

• Pink Shirt Competition: A HUGE shout out goes to all the Bayside artists who submitted their lovely art for this year’s Pink Shirt Day competition!

Pink Shirt day is on Wednesday, Feb 22.  Starting on Monday, Feb. 13, pink shirts can be purchased in the Gallery at recess for $15.  Which artist’s design will be on the front?  Come to the big reveal in the Gallery!

• Dodgeball Tournament: Our two dodgeball tournaments will start today in the gym at lunch. This tournament is class vs class competition so please encourage everyone in your class to compete! We will be reviewing the rules today and playing as many matches as possible. Our first two matches will be 8-6 vs 8-4 and 7-7 vs 7-6, get ready to make some noise Sharks!!
• Shark Attack: We are looking for someone or a couple of people to sing O Canada to start the game. We are also looking for figure skaters or speed skaters to perform during intermission. If you are interested, please meet with Ms. Lee at little recess today in the Home Ec room.
• Shark Attack: If you are a hockey player and missed yesterday’s meeting please come to the Home Ec room at little recess to sign up and for a permission form.
• Grade 8 Girls REC Volleyball: You have games after school TODAY at Cedar Hill Middle School. Be there before 3:30. See you there! Also, good luck to both Grade 8 girls competitive teams today. Team B is at Monterey School and Team A have games in the Bayside Gym starting at 3:45. Come down and show your support.. 
• Grade 6/7 Boys Volleyball: Game at Gordon Head Middle School tomorrow after school, if you can’t attend, come talk to Mme Drolet in S115..
• Grade 6/7 Girls Rec Volleyball: Well done to both teams that played yesterday!  Team A played Royal Oak and Gordon Head with some really close games with nail biter finishes. They worked hard, had fun, and slayed all day! Congratulations to the B team who won all four of their games against Landsdowne and St. Michaels University! Great enthusiasm and team work! Go Sharks! Special thank you to Theo for being the referee yesterday and to Maelle for doing the scorekeeping.
• Volleyball:  Well done to the grade 7 girls competitive team for winning three out of their 4 matches yesterday at PCS. Strong serves and three touches made bayside a competitive team to play!
• Yearbooks: Yearbooks are available to purchase online through Student Fees until Mar 17, 2023 for $22.  Don’t miss out, there is a limited quantity available, we sold out last year!
